Willie O’Neal Cartwright grew up in the  public housing projects of Birmingham, Alabama. The product of a single mother, he has overcome many adversities including poverty and a severe speech impediment. Willie’s unique upbringing allows him to inspire and motivate others. He has been very successful with addressing other because he is able to share his experiences  in a direct and honest way.  He serves as a great example of  someone who has experienced adversity and been able to achieve a level of personal, professional and educational success.   

Willie holds a B.S. degree in finance and an Executive M.B.A. He has worked seventeen years in corporate America, The last seven years in management. 

      Willie has worked with numerous youth organizations for the past 17 years. He has been involved with several mentoring, leadership and teaching programs. He has presented to numerous companies including Panasonic, BP Amoco and Mac Steel. Willie has spoken to youth groups in the cities of Chattanooga, TN, Birmingham, AL and the Atlanta area Public School System (including the Dekalb, Gwinnett, Cobb and the Fulton County School system.) He has  also spoken at The Atlanta Boys and Girls Club, The Alpha Leadership Program with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, S.C.A.L.E.S. Leadership Program in Gwinnett County GA, Clark Atlanta University, Mississippi Valley State University and a host of other youth programs and church organizations. Willie also facilitates several workshops related to financial literacy and interviewing skills. 

       Willie’s experiences allow him to bring a new, fresh and direct approach to motivating others. His messages are engaging, honest, refreshing and entertaining. Others have described his presentations as extremely inspirational, direct, practical and exciting. Motivational speaking is his passion and Willie realizes that being a motivational speaker is an honor that carries a lot of responsibility. His combination of knowledge, experience and education enables him to make positive contributions to the lives of others.
